Monolith Pearl Pattern is a dynamic freshwater-pearl necklace, arranged in a small-to-large-to-small rhythm. An alternative to a conventional pearl strand, it creates an elegant, playful balance while showcasing the individual character of freshwater pearls.
Product information
- Pearls: Freshwater pearls, individually selected for shape, form, and size; the pattern ranges from approximately 1 mm to 10 mm.
- Construction: Strung on steel wire manufactured in the United States.
- Clasp: A polished .925 sterling-silver Monolith clasp with a rectangular slide-and-twist mechanism.
Design & Making
Each necklace is assembled in the Auckland studio. The pearls vary in shape and size, and are selected to create a balanced, flowing silhouette. The Monolith clasp was designed and prototyped in New Zealand and manufactured by a specialist partner in China. Its rectangular slide-and-twist mechanism makes the clasp a visible part of the necklace, and it can interlink with other Monolith pieces.
